Norway is located on the Scandinavian peninsula; its long, craggy coast forms
the western margin of the peninsula and fronts the Atlantic Ocean (sometimes
known as the Norwegian Sea) for most of the country's length. To the southwest
the North Sea separates Norway from the British Isles, and directly to the south
the Skagerrak separates it from Denmark. In the east Norway shares an extensive
border with Sweden and for a shorter one with Finland and Russia in the north.

transfer you from the airport to your hotel in Oslo.
Norway’s greatest attraction is its scenery. The image of
rugged snowcapped mountains are reflected by clear blue lakes; thousands of
miles of fjord coastline wind in and out of the landscape and the wildlife is
still as nature intended - free, untamed and wild. You spend the day on your
own in discovering the charm of Oslo. |

The port town
of Oslo is the capital of Norway. The city is beautifully situated at the head of Oslo
Fjord surrounded by forested ridges, and this very location gives Oslo
unexpected qualities for a national capital. Seek out food for thought in the
numerous museums and galleries including the Viking Ships, the Folk Museum,
Vigeland Park of Modern Sculpture and the Munch Museum. For a taste of Oslo in
days gone by, the Royal Palace and the Cathedral should be high on your list of
things to see. |
