Tallhöjdens Värdshus was built by the well known Sture G. Ohlsson, who was born in Malmö in 1904. He was a successful businessman and as well as the hotel had a furniture factory, an interior- design shop and a men´s clothes shop. He was a also big importer of wood, especially teak. Apart from his business, Sture G Olsson´s big passion was travelling, and during his busy and active life he found time to visit about 60 different countries. He brought home many objets d´art from every corner of the earth and these now adorn the inn. We have 8 single/double rooms in the main building and 9 wooden chalets. Our rooms have a rustic, romantic interior with a lovely bed, armchairs, a writing desk, a television and a tiled bath room. The warm colours of the textiles makes the rooms cosy and pleasant. The wooden chalets are positioned around the swimming pool. The chalets, which have an area of 65 m2 contain 2 twin-bed rooms, a small kitchen a large livingroom and WC/shower.

At Tallhöjden you can swim in the swimming pool and relax in the sauna. Or why not play boules on one of 12 ´boulodromes´ here in Simlångsdalen? Or when the weather´s fine, take a walk to the beautiful waterfall, ´Danska Fallet´? This will certainly give you an appetite for your dinner. There are lots of other activities near here, including fishing, canoeing, golf and horse riding.

There are many golf courses in the vicinity of Tallhöjden including Bäckavattnets GK, Tönnersjö GK, Skogaby GK, Rydö GK and Holms GK. You can book the teeing-off time on these courses from the hotel; the sooner you book the better chance you have of getting the start time you want. Bäckavattnet´s golf course is closest to the hotel. It is a very pleasant and exciting course set in a woodland area.

Location

Tallhöjdens Värdhus is situated in picturesque Simlångsdalen, 15 km from Halmstad going eastwards towards Ljungby or Kalmar and close to the main road (no.25). Halmstad Airport is 30 km away and Ängelholms Airport 57 km away.

Restaurant

You will never go hungry at Tallhöjden! Our meals are carefully prepared from Swedish produce, and mainly from Halland. We always have game on the menu and most of the seafood recipes that the west coast can offer, too. Our conference lunches consist of modern Swedish dishes.
The menus in our restaurants vary with the seasons. During the summer months, apart from game, we serve light menus with lots of grilled meat and tasty salads and in November we celebrate St Martin´s Day with goose. Then from the end of November we start serving our popular Christmas smorgasbord.

At Tallhöjdens Värdhus you can arrange a conference in relaxing environs. Your management team will find the ideal environment to foster creativity and development. Larger groups will find that we provide the perfect environment for training and uniting a group of colleagues.

Conferences need to be carefully planned and organised and we can help you with this, as we have been doing it for many years.

To help you stay alert the whole day we will supply you with fruit, sweets, and cold water. Our lunches and dinners are prepared from locally produced ingredients that we select very carefully and we serve pastries with the coffee afterwards - perhaps not so healthy but very tasty!
