Margretetorps Gästgivaregård
has for centuries been a resting place for travellers
on the famous thoroughfare across the Halland Ridge.
It became well-known as early as 1652, the year in which
Queen Kristina laid down the statutes for hostelries
and coaching inns. Margretorp has been faithfully restored
and is today a hotel of the highest class, as well as
one of the most beautiful in the whole of Sweden.
