Day
1: Arrival in Copenhagen
|
| The lovely
city of Copenhagen, is the capital of Denmark. Denmark is the smallest of the Scandinavian
countries, located on the peninsula of Jylland, bordering Germany, and on
about 500 islands. Copenhagen
got its name from the word "köbenhavn", which means "Merchants
harbour". Transfer to your hotel is included in the package. Spend the rest of the
day discovering the famous Tivoli Gardens in the evening
(entrance included). Do not miss the spectacular light
and water show before the Garden closes.

Day
2: Copenhagen sightseeing
|
|
|

|
After
buffet breakfast, get
ready for sightseeing trip to e.g. Christiansborg Palace, home to the Danish Parliament and
the Royal Reception Rooms. Thorvaldsen's Museum, a
magnificent collection of sculptures, Tivoli amusement park. The National
Museum - showing many hundreds of years of Danish history. The Royal Theatre, world famous for its Royal Ballet. The Royal Winter residence
and let's not forget
The Little Mermaid, inspired by Hans
Christian Andersen's fairytale.
Sightseeing does not cover specific entrance fees which
can be added as a supplement.

Day
3: Malmö over the Öresund bridge
|
|
|
In the morning after breakfast,
take the train (cost included) over the famous Öresund bridge connecting
Denmark with Sweden. The bridge is more than 8 km long
and is an architecture marvel. Sightseeing trips in
Malmö are available only in June to beginning of August
each year. You visit the tallest
building in Scandinavian the famous The Turning Torso
(picture below) a marvel of modern architecture and residential buildings,
Stortorget became Malmö's new marketplace and was
the largest city square in Northern Europe for a very long time. Kockska huset,
one of the most well-preserved 16th century buildings in Malmö, is of
red brick with a richly ornamented stepped gable.

4: Back to Copenhagen airport
|

After
breakfast take the direct train (cost included) to reach Copenhagen airport
for your onward destination.
